Patents Approved
The patent application of main process steps of Accurec´s innovative recycling technology was already successfully approved in 2021 from european patent offfce.
With date of 25th of Juli 2023 United States Patent and Trademark office has also granted Accurec´s process application.
After 5 years of development at the newly established Krefeld site, the process chain for Li-Ion batteries is now complete. For rechargeable batteries from electromobility, stationary storage, but especially portable batteries, whose treatment is significantly more complex than other Li-ion batteries, a process is now available that already meets the requirements of the new European legislation scheduled for 2026. The process steps include disassembly, if necessary discharge, thermal disintegration and transformation of battery materials, as well as the subsequent extraction of lithium.
