On December 1st, in the presence of the EU Commissioner for Environment, we officially commissioned our innovative facility at our Krefeld site—the only one of its kind in Europe—for the recovery of lithium from used batteries.
Using innovative CLIMA technology, lithium is recovered with high efficiency—a decisive step toward Europe’s raw material resilience and the circular economy of the future.
Demand for lithium-ion batteries is rising rapidly due to e-mobility, household appliances, and stationary storage systems. European companies have so far struggled with dependencies on raw materials and expertise from Asia.
ACCUREC closes this gap with innovative, energy-efficient CLIMA technology that recovers lithium with a yield of over 95%.
