Batteries contain substances, which can have relevant direct or indirect impact to the environment. We work to minimize this potential effect, complying with or exceeding regulation. Within our quality management system, comprehensive risk analysis is put in place. It is regularly and unannounced inspected by authorities. Results are published on web page of competent authority: District Government Duesseldorf/www.brd.nrw.de

Mülheim recycling facility treats Nickel and Cadmium containing batteries, both are heavy metals with high concern for environment. Accurec has committed to a repeating voluntary

control and measurement of emissions, which confirms its ultimate low off gas emission status:

Cd:  <  0,001 g/h

Ni: not measurable.

Also Accurec´s Li-battery recycling process at Krefeld plant does not emit toxic gases or metals, due to high end particle filtering system (HEPA).

Total dust:  < 0,1mg/m3

Arsenic:  < 0,001 mg/m3Cadmium:  < 0,001 mg/m3

Lead:  < 0,001 mg/m3

Nickel:   < 0,001 mg/m3

(score less than 0,001 mg/m3 indicates that element has been below detection level)
