Today, EU directive 66/2006 has been implemented in all 29 European states, demanding that used batteries and accumulators must be separated from general household waste stream. Proactive collection of used portable batteries is now mandatory and need to meet the collection target of 45% in year 2016. Furthermore, producers or importers of industrial batteries are obliged to take back their batteries free of charge in an appropiate vicinity of end-user, who wants to get rid of it. A similar requirement is given with the WEEE-directive concerning the take back obligation of solar panels. Thus, implementation of intelligent and cost efficient logistic programmes are necessary to provide an easy solution for our customers:

ONE STOP SHOP        Collection   -   Recycling  -  Documentation

With a 10 years experience, Accurec operates a nationwide network of collection points for portable batteries. We manage multiple thousand of collection points, provide collection bins, and organize the entire reverse logistics chain. All process steps are documentated according legal requirements including yearly reporting. After that all waste streams are  classified and sorted according their components and finaly recycled.

Beside household waste batteries, we arrange a comprehensive service for producers/importers concerning their take back obligation for B2B industrial products in Germany. Currently, this process is implemented for Photovoltaic Panels and Industrial Batteries, like NiCd and Li-Ion batteries from electromobility (bicycles, HEV, BEV). This includes remote instructions, or if needed on-site support in terms of disassembly, packaging and control of transportation requirements (ADR). Formalities, e.g. waste shipment certificates, licenses, SDS or dangerous goods driver instructions are provided. Since 2013, Accurec holds also the permit to transport large-sized damaged Li-Ion batteries (see download BAM-permit). Finally, we aggregate and supply all necessary information and statistics for the preparation of producers compulsory annual waste report.
